EE. UU. – Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has become the first testing laboratory in the world to receive accreditation from the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego de Chile. Accreditation is the culmination of a long process over a year and allows GLI, test and certify electronic gaming devices and technology for the gaming market in Chile.

The Development Manager for Latin America GLI, Karen Smith-Hughes said, “We are thrilled to have received this accreditation. This is an important step for GLI and Chile. GLI has always been very active giving support to regulators in Chile and throughout Latin America for years, and we are very pleased with the progress achieved through the region. “

In 2005, legislators in Chile approved the Law 19,995, which established the process for awarding gaming licenses to a maximum of 24 casinos in the country. The Act also established the process for approval and GLI is the first testing laboratory to be accredited under this Act

In addition to Chile, GLI is active in the region and conducts tests to regulators in Argentina, Panama and Peru. The company is also participating in the process of establishing standards in Chile, and is working with the courts of Colombia and Mexico in developing technical standards according to international practices to help regulators achieve their goals.
